Toronto Paramedic Services Division - coordinates response to major medical emergencies and health care services at large events

Pre-hospital emergency care and transportation of ill or injured persons * may include emergency response or transportation between medical institutions

Community Paramedicine Program - Paramedics with specialized training to assist people in managing health and social challenges and accessing the services they need. Service used for previous patients or if referred by someone. Community paramedics provides follow up post visit to ensure patient has what they need.

• Community Paramedics apply their specialized training and skills in the community outside of their traditional 9-1-1 emergency response role to support people with Congestive Heart Failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Diabetes.
• Through this program, Community Paramedics visit a patient's home and offer comprehensive in-home health assessments, including checking vital signs, blood work, provide vaccinations, and help clients understand how to manage their health conditions.

County of Simcoe Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) Program

• Independent Registration of Public Access Defibrillators with 9-1-1 Ambulance Communications Centres. All Public Access Defibrillators should be registered so dispatchers can direct people to this lifesaving device if a Sudden Cardiac Arrest happens near by.
