Offers a warm and safe place to enjoy a free meal, socialize and access community support. With the support and generosity of local restaurants and churches, meals are prepared and donated.

Guests are welcome to enjoy a warm meal every day of the week from Nov-Apr and three times a week from May-Oct.

Offers warm breakfast and lunch with the option to take a cold/frozen dinner to go.

Community Resources
Out of the Cold Cafe Team members offer guidance to anyone needing a hand navigating community resources. The Cafe offers free internet, computers, printers, fax machine and access to a phone to contact local shelters and agencies.Charitable Registration Number 764443347RR0001

Free Breakfast 7 days a week in downtown Barrie

• Program is hosted by Trinity Anglican Church but is run with the help of other organizations.
• Burton Ave United Church, Grace United Church, St Margaret's Anglican Church, First Christian Reformed Church, St Mary's Catholic Church and Ryan's Hope all participate in this program

Provides a sit down breakfast Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Upper Hall of Trinity Anglican Church. Entrance through ramp at side of building by Scotia Bank parking lot

• The Ryan's Hope Breakfast-To-Go program is the first initiative of Ryan's Hope an organization that advocates for and supports people living with mental illness, substance use issues and experiencing homelessness

Street Outreach Van (operated by LOFT/Crosslinks) provides services at convenient locations throughout York Region

• basic needs items such as food, clothing and shoes, sleeping bags, tents, tarps and blankets
• needle exchange supplies and information
• mental health and addiction resources including crisis support, intervention and prevention
• referrals to shelters and other community supports
• sexual health information and resources

Collier's Table provides community meals twice per year, in Spring and Fall, to people in need.

Staff available to assist with:

• bag lunch or emergency grocery bag - provided between 11 am-5 pm - also available through Outreach Van
• general support
• hygiene supplies and seasonal clothing
• Harm Reduction supplies
• access to short-term warming space, free showers, and washroom
• Health Cards and other paperwork
• transportation needs - local and out of town for housing and health care needs
• referral to other programs and community resources
• an access point to facilitate medical, corrections and other support appointments virtually

Donations

• Donations of breakfast and lunch items for shelter guests as well as donations of survival gear, toiletries and cleaning supplies are needed

Food pantry program and soup kitchen

• food pantry program aimed at raising awareness for sustainable food security by identifying the gaps in existing services and increasing practical access to good healthy food
• soup kitchen and drop in every Friday

Take-home frozen meals, available for discharged patients, staff and general public

• 16 choices of meals plus soups and desserts are available, see Meals to Go for selection
• healthy choices with lower sodium and lower fat content and diabetic compliant
• allergy requirements, pureed and renal meals also available
• any quantity can be ordered, request 48 hours for pick-up after order is placed
