Regular Services
Green Wood Coalition is a street-level, charitable organization that uses a community model of caring to walk alongside people living with poverty, mental illness, substance dependency and other disability.

Services offered include:

• A weekly Community Dinner at St John's Anglican Church (33 Pine Street North, Port Hope). Intent is to build relationships between individuals who are well-off and those who face daily struggles with poverty and homelessness. An outreach Nurse Practitioner is available at the weekly dinner meet with with individuals in need.
• Creative Arts Program
• Community Garden
• Addiction / Dependency Recovery Support Groups and harm reduction supplies
• Community 101 is an interactive series that explores ways of becoming a more healthy and vibrant community through caring for each other and seeking long-term change.

Committee of local organizations and community members who work to improve food access for all area residents, especially low income residents. Works toward short-term and long-term plans, and immediate solutions such as meal programs. Also works to address and prevent food insecurity in Peterborough to ensure that everyone in Peterborough has enough healthy food to eat.

Tree Planting -- coordinates spring tree planting day each spring in Aurora, East Gwilimbury, Georgina, King and Newmarket, partnership with Lake Simcoe Conservation Authority

Fall Food Drive -- volunteer groups are assigned to grocery store and encourage shoppers to donate, donations are distributed to local food banks

Holiday Gift Drive -- collects and distributes holiday gifts to charitable organizations
