• food pantry program aimed at raising awareness for sustainable food security by identifying the gaps in existing services and increasing practical access to good healthy food

• Currently do not have procedures to accept donations from the public, receive food through the Second Harvest Food Rescue Network
• Food producers, distributors, retailers or restaurants with donations should email the Food Rescue Officer to make arrangements for pick up

Food Service:
Provide 3 different services:

• A pre-packaged grocery cart in 2 sizes once every 30 days:
  • Regular cart: for Singles and Families
  • Large Family cart: for families of 5 or more
• Emergency Bag - No fixed address is required (provides 1-2 day of relief, requires cooking facilities)
  • If you require food between regular monthly visits, you can access and emergency bag of food at any time.
• Camping Bag - No fixed address is required (provides 1-2 day of food, no cooking required)

Free weekly program helping to promote healthy pregnancies in a friendly and supportive drop-in environment

• Participants receive support and information on a wide range of relevant issues such as breastfeeding, health, pre and postnatal nutrition, becoming a parent and community resources
• Nutritious foods, grocery gift cards and prenatal vitamins are provided to program participants
• Catulpa Community Support Services is a sponsor of the MotherCare program in Simcoe County

Free weekly program that promotes and supports a healthy start for kids in Simcoe County in a friendly and supportive drop-in environment

• Supports healthy families by providing nutrition, health, parenting and child development information and resources for women with children up to 36 months old
• Nutritious food and free grocery cards are provided to eligible program participants

Program is closed due to being redesigned. When it reopens, the urgent needs fund will only be available to those who have never received funding in the past.

A discretionary fund available to provide individuals in Simcoe County who are experiencing or are at-risk of poverty, emergency financial assistance with modest one-time grants to address basic needs including:

• food security (e.g. grocery gift card, baby food, etc.);
• transportation (e.g. gas gift card, taxi voucher, bus ticket, medical transportation, etc.);
• basic needs (e.g. clothing, cleaning supplies, personal hygiene supplies, footwear, etc.) including delivery of items;
• social integration (e.g. access to a cellphone or phone cards, computer rentals, etc.);
• health and wellness (e.g. medication, emergency dental, eyeglasses, etc.);
• housing start-up costs (e.g. furniture, kitchen supplies, bedding, mattress, etc.);
• child care;
• family supports (e.g. parenting courses, educational resources and supplies for children/youth);
• personal Identification (e.g. birth certificate, health card, SIN, driver's license);
• student assistance for elementary and high school students (books, supplies, registration / application fees); and/or,
• mental health supports;
• income tax filing costs;
• utilities

Requests for assistance will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Provides non-perishable food to families in need within the community.

A Community Fridge is located outside of the Innisfil YMCA (1-7315 Yonge Street - north entrance.) The fridge is open 24/7. Take what is needed and leave what you can.

Community food bank made possible with the help of local churches in the area, Thornton Firefighters' Association, Thornton Lions Club and a number of local retailers and individuals who donate. Food Bank is located in the basement of New Life Community Christian Church.

Donations can be dropped off during Food Bank hours or call to arrange a drop off time.

Offers a barrier-free community pantry providing non-perishable food items that is accessible when the library is open. Located in the back left corner of the library.

The pantry is designed for emergency food access and as a supplement to existing services in Wasaga Beach when they are not available.

The pantry is supported by local organizations and community members on a donation basis so the items available can vary. They request users be considerate of others needs when accessing the pantry and take only what they immediately need so support can be given to as many community members as possible.
