Bundle up Barrie Winter Clothing Campaign

• provides donated coats to the homeless and other individuals and families who do not have a warm coat for the winter
• Annual Campaign takes place in October
• donated coats can be dropped off at the Community and Family Services office at the Salvation Army Bayside Mission Centre, 16 Bayfield St, Barrie
• coats are distributed from the Community and Family Services office in October and November

Baby's Closet

• provides emergency assistance to parents with young children
• items such as diapers, formula, baby food, baby wipes, clothing and household items are available

ID Clinic

• Assists low income individuals in obtaining an Ontario Birth Certificate by appointment only

Family Tracing Service

• Provides information for persons wishing to trace missing relatives
• the individual must send the form to Salvation Army Family Tracings Service in Toronto

Services include:

Offers families in need of emergency baby supplies such as:

• diapers
• formula
• baby food

Available by appointment for essential needs such as pregnancy tests, diapers, wipes and formula. Confidential services and resources for the centre include:

• Providing education and information on fetal development, pregnancy, and abortion methods
• Does not refer clients to abortion services
• Offering emotional, spiritual and practical support during and after the pregnancy
• Offering post abortion syndrome information and support including referrals to medical, legal and social agencies
• Providing free pregnancy testing, baby food, maternity and baby clothing (up to 24 months)

COVID19 -- hampers of baby supplies and dropped off at clients' homes by appointment

Access gently used baby clothing, women's clothing, maternity clothing, children's toys and household items * food, diapers, baby food, formula, wipes and women's toiletries

Emergency food pantry service

• 10-14 day supply of food once a month, supply includes fresh produce, non-perishable items, baby needs, pet needs and toiletries
• may visit weekly if in need of baby supplies such as formula or diapers

• job search skills, career development and educational assistance

Birthright is interdenominational and is not involved in any political activities, or lobbying. Birthright's focus is on loving the mother, reminding her that there is hope and ensuring she is not alone.

Milk and Formula program provides emergency temporary assistance for families experiencing difficulties.

Milk coupons mailed monthly for a maximum of six months (subject to change). Formula to be picked up at church.

Due to high demand for program, applicants MUST be referred by a community professional to be eligible to receive assistance for this program.

This program assists aboriginal families to provide the best opportunities for healthy child development through home visits, service coordination, referrals to other service providers and a variety of participatory activities for parents and caregivers together with their children.

Also coordinates the Baby Needs Depot which provides emergency supplies of formula, baby food and diapers at no cost to families in need.
