Provides accessible door-to-door transportation to non-emergency medical appointments for seniors and people with disabilities.

A partnership of the following community-based agencies: Helping Hands, Red Cross, Community Reach, Barrie Area Native Advisory Circle and CHATS Community & Home Assistance To Seniors.

A fourth (booster) dose is now available to individuals 60 years of age and older who received their third (booster) dose five months (140 days) prior. Individuals 60 years of age and older may receive a fourth (booster) dose at a minimum interval of 3 months (84 days) after their third (booster) dose.

Proof of Vaccination
As of March 1, 2022, proof of vaccination is no longer required to access certain indoor businesses and settings in Ontario. However, businesses and other settings may choose to require proof of vaccination upon entry.

Enhanced Vaccine Certificate with QR code

• to ensure a smooth user experience, the province is making the enhanced vaccine certificate with scannable QR code available for download
• numbers from the front and back of the green photo health card will be required, expired cards are accepted

• Individuals with a red and white health card or those who would like the enhanced vaccine certificate emailed or mailed to them, will need to call the Provincial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1-833-943-3900
• A verification application, to scan QR vaccination codes, is available for businesses to download for free on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store

Provides transportation to medical appointments

Ambulatory clients with canes, walkers and collapsible wheelchairs accepted.

Transportation:
Provides frail seniors, and adults over the age of 18 with a physical or cognitive condition needing a non-medical escort local and long distance drives to medical appointments, central Home and Community Care Support Services funded ADP's, grocery shopping, personal errands and social outings. Priority is given to clients requiring drives to chemotherapy and dialysis appointments etc and other medical appointments before errands, shopping and outings. Clients are encouraged to call as far in advance as possible to arrange transportation.

Transportation services including long distance rides with a driver that stays with the client. Accompaniment to weddings and funerals for those with cognitive impairment. Airport pick-up can be arranged.

Personal care, appointment escorting, respite, light duty housekeeping, home management, pet care

Supports local special needs children, and the Shrine Children Hospital in Montreal, and raises funds for orthopaedic, arthritis and burn centres. Provides free transportation to children needing hospital treatment from the Georgian Triangle to the Toronto Ramses Headquarters.

Annual events include turkey shoots (four held in Mar, Apr, Oct and Nov), a Mother's Day Breakfast in May, a steak fry and fish fry (Jul and Aug) and summer golf tournament. Also holds bingo games at the Manito Shriner's Club

Meeting space available for rent including one large room which can seat 190 people and a bar lounge that can accommodate 95 people. They provide the liquor licence and catering.
