UPDATE - Feb 4, 2016: Our 211 Central region contact centre is now back to regular service after the building fire and evacuation yesterday. We wish to thank all of our Regional contact centres for supporting the after-hours service, and thank our callers for their patience with any service disruption yesterday.

Urgent Notice: 211 Service in Toronto, York and Durham Regions Temporarily Disrupted

URGENT NOTICE - Feb 3, 2016:  There was a fire today at the 211 Central call centre in Toronto, causing an evacuation of the building.  All were safely evacuated, but callers in the Toronto, York and Durham regions may have experienced a disruption in service as of approximately 12:30 pm.  Our 211 Ontario network is working together to restore phone service, and ensure coverage until such time we can re-enter the facility.  Please excuse any delays in responding to your call.  If you are calling 2-1-1 for a life-threatening situation, please call 9-1-1.  For distress or crisis lines, please search for information at www.211ontario.ca, under Emergency & Crisis Services.  Thank you for your understanding.
